The Greenwood Oasis is one of the top event venues in Chicago with 100,000 square feet of event space. We’ve crafted this unique space for innovators, entrepreneurs, businesses, organizations, and faith-movers. The G.O. is perfect for performances, concerts, corporate events, conferences, weddings, galas, film screenings, and so much more.

Our Theatre

Our theatre seats 3,728 people in total.

2,321 on the main floor and 1,407 in the balcony.

Our Meeting Rooms

There are 3 meeting rooms available to rent individually or combined.

Each room is approximately 1100 square feet and seats 100 guests.

Each room holds 5 round tables and accommodates 50 Guests.

When combined, the rooms are approximately 3300 square feet with a seating capacity of 300 guests. The rooms combined hold 20 Round Tables accommodating 200 guests.

Capacity for standing reception is approximately 275 Guests (all rooms combined). This count allows for 10 cocktail tables.


The Performing Arts

The Greenwood Oasis is most sought after for its state-of-the-art auditorium theater, adding to Chicago’s historical theater scene. We invite you to host your next big production for crowds large and small. This includes performances, plays, film screenings, ceremonies, conferences, and concerts.

From social gatherings, fundraisers, and galas, to art installations and experiential events The Greenwood Oasis welcomes it all. We invite you to transform our open space, well-lit main foyer into the possibilities of your imagination.

Slow Dance


We know that your wedding will be one of the most anticipated days of your life. Our venue reimagines a traditional sanctuary and banquet hall to offer an urban yet larger-than-life space. We invite you to make your dream wedding come true, actualize your inspirations, and make memories that’ll last a lifetime.

HOLDS: You can hold requested date/s for two weeks from the date of your tour or inquiry. Once another group challenges your hold after that two-week timeframe, you have two days to make a decision.

PAYMENT PROCESS: To book your requested date/s, we require 50% of the rental amount as a non-refundable deposit, accompanied by a signed contract. We accept payment in the form of a check or credit card*. The remaining 50% of your rental balance is due 10 days prior to your event.

*Credit card payments will incur a 3.5% processing fee
